Verizon sells landlines/Fios to Frontier, hides it from new customers

As of today, Feb 09 2016, Verizon in California, still advertising for new customers, and yet.....not a peep on their website Verizon has sold the landline business to Frontier Comm.
Unfortunately, The California PUC is in on the con.
What, the Public Utilities Commission is looking the other way?!?!?
My formal complaint of false advertising to the PUC was denied, as one letter from Verizon announcing the sale was enough. So what if the hearings were at just four inconvenient locations.
So now that the sale has been approved, does Verizon tell the prospective customer of the sale?
Of course not. Verizon gets to walk away with billions of dollars, after screwing the public under the guise of a public utility.
I had DSL service for 10 years, with the last 2 years not working more days than not.
Calls to Verizon about lack of service was explained by:
Weather(anywhere in the world)
Too Hot
Too cold
Customer fault
"worn-out" copper wire( the rep said "those electrons are really hard on copper").

Check out Verizon forums, high speed internet.
See Verizon bizarre claim "solving" a problem is when a customer cancels service.

This is why I left after being a customer for 20 years

What know is. The previous CEO got billions from the government to grow and expand Fiber FiOS to areas all over the U.S. The newest CEO put a stop to it and milked the funds to build towers instead with tax payer dollars. The sleeziness is celebrated and trickles down to the rest of the company
