Nothing worse than having to agree with the people that hate the company you work for.
Here is the truth from within.
-Customer is #2.
Verizon's need, wants, desires, concerns will always supersede the customers... non negotiable. You may see small windows of light to think you're getting somewhere but in the back of the head of everyone that works here we know that your complaints are falling on deaf ears. You are wasting your time because with the exception of a small few who get frustrated and eventually leave (unless they have become a slave to the pension). We have no one to give your complaints to. No support. If we inform anyone of the problems that exist...then we get a label as a complainer and will get eventually blamed for the problem.

-Leadership does not communicate effectively with other departments. There is a huge wall of compartmentalization. Here again if any head of a department gets complaints that something's not getting done they usually ignore it. They hear it so much they blame it on someone else in your department so it's just a circle of blame and everyone tries to dodge it. If you work there long enough you will get blamed by your department head eventually for a problem you encounter daily. No one will step up to fix anything. Everything runs on loose bandaids.

-If you spout party line and have good numbers you are untouchable.
no matter how many customers you shit on or people you step on. You have to ignore all issues or transfer them to someone else. You will survive and move up if you ignore issues. Everyone's favorite statement when they hear issues (act surprised). "Huh, I've never heard that before." Even though it has happend 1000s of times.

Not every company has a list this long of people getting screwed. Verizon has a huge talent at making miserable employees and pissed off customers. Btw. Educated is a very lose term. Just because you can string some words together and put a period in the right place does not mean you have been educated with the right information. If you think you are better than everyone else because you can dot an i. Then you fucking elitist douchebag and probably from NY.

Lol. That is why I stick it out. To make a difference. It is called idealism. I fight for customers and complain about the lack of systems that function. (So that means I piss alot of people off) I can leave anytime but I try my best to make every call matter in spite of it all before they find a way to get rid of me.
