Why I use Verizon

I use Verizon because they have the best coverage for my area. The calls are usually pretty clear, and I seldom have "no signal". Its too bad that the people who work for Verizon are such sleazy selfish cocksuckers. Its like Verizon went to every scummy used car dealership in the nation and hired all their salesmen so that they would have an entire army of scumbags as employees.

It is not the employees fault overall, they just have a very bad management, the executives have 5 years contracts with the company and want to make as much money as possible, if the company gets into problems, the excecutives will get golden parachutes, means millions of dollars, so why should they care about the customer ?

It really is a management issue. Verizon management is full of the biggest idiots I have ever met. They love to waste money, treat employees like crap, and generally make the working environment hardly tolerable. I miss Alltel.

I don't use Verizon cell phone service, but I have on occasion used a Verizon cellular service phone.

Correct-o-mundo! Their cell coverage is better than most others in the same market. That said... my experience with their "customer service" people, for long-distance, land-line, service, has been nothing but exasperating. And, I have only had this service connected since 11/29 of 2010 -- so far only 13 days and counting-down to an immanent termination. How is that for discovering how truly bad Verizon so-called "customer service" is, right off the bat?

All routine customer service calls are shipped out to some third world country, where the people they've hired have no instinctive or intuitive understanding of the product they are attempting to service or support. That is bad enough but, moreover, the English you will encounter by these people is by far the worst thing you'll ever hear in any "customer service" circles. In some cases it doesn't really resemble true English at all, and making yourself understood to a technologically backward non-native "English-speaker" is exasperating to say the least. Good luck with that!

Reading between the lines here and elsewhere Verizon is in trouble financially and going down fast. They are farming out work that real competent English speaking people should be doing. This seems a desperate attempt by Verizon to give something useful at a faction of the normal and expected cost, done simply to save some money. In short order I expect Verizon will be going belly-up just like Enron and WorldCom before them. The clock is ticking. It's best to quit the sinking ship now, before the melt-down occurs. After only some 13 days I will be terminating their service. If I want fly-by-night, I can go to some other relatively unknown tel-com company for a fraction of the cost that Verizon is charging me. I haven't even gotten my first bill yet and I have drafted a letter terminating my service.

This telephone fiasco is just wrong!

Right on about wireless reliability. But I believe most of the sales people are also victims of the baloney fed to them by upper management.
