Outrageously bad customer service

It's been hell, and I mean HELL, trying to get our Verizon landline fixed. I've wasted hours this week trying to get it resolved. Finally, someone told me that a repairer would come to the house and fix the line yesterday. When I got home, though, it still wasn't working and they left no word -- no email, no phone call, no note -- explaining why it wasn't fixed. After an email and 15 minutes on hold today, the rep said that some reviewers looked at the work order and closed it out WITHOUT SENDING ANYONE TO THE HOUSE because it looked to them (from their desk?) that there was no problem!! And they never even called to tell me that! They just didn't come. THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
