Same story

Yeah, I was surprisingly abused and lied to continuously by this company until I finally decided that the cancellation fee was an enormous bargain just to never have to deal with Verizon again. Keep in mind, I was the ideal customer, bill paid on time, patient and kind on the phone regardless of the shock of being treated this way by a big company, etc. So, I paid the fee, called my old provider, and breathed a sigh of relief. This was last year. To this date, I've been called almost every day to pay a made up bill, told over and over that I never cancelled, and also told that there is no federal law saying that they have to ever stop calling (even after sending a formal letter to request exactly that). Everytime they call, I tell them to send it to collections, I will dispute it, and if I have to, I'll contact the attorney general, but I'm not paying. I am trying one more time to send a letter until I call a lawyer and/or change my phone number. Is this company for real? How are they successful? Truly blows me away. . . .
