Verizon Florida State of Affairs

It is an extremely embarrassing situation for a corporation to face not only the public exposure of how customers are mistreated, however to also witness a venue of this nature and this magnitude to expose the internal turmoil that has been brewing within the Southeast Region of Verizon since August 2007. The problems were not inherited, they were created. I truly hope that ALL comments posted here - both from customers and employees - are taken into serious consideration at the highest corporate level. It's time for the leadership team to take accountability for the current state of the business and act bolder / move faster to fix what is broken. It's time to look again at the true foundation that this great company was built on -- one that was named for the Latin word "veritas" connoting truth, certainty and reliability and "horizon" designating forward-thinking and visionary. That kind of foundation, along with dedicated employees, is what makes good companies great. It is what needs to be exemplified in every interaction, every breath of Verizon's existence. CUSTOMERS and EMPLOYEES are a company's greatest assets. Maybe it's time to dust off the book "Built to Last" -- the mantra that Verizon's original leaders embraced -- and get back to being the great company that Verizon's Southeast Region has been known in the past to be.
