august 2nd strike

10 more days until the union is crushed and this company can begin to get back to good service. the union and its so called workers have raped this company for years and this year it will stop. gonna be a long strike, gonna love watchin u guys cave.lol

my job went to a union worker because of the job security issue in the current contract. The union person worked less than I did and got a hell of a lot more money plus a lot more benefits. I was with verizon for 24 years(lucky for me I could retire, but was still forces out) and they just said "We have to give you job to a union worker----bye bye.." Unions sucks. I hope Verizon sticks it to the unions. Unions have to wake up and smell the coffee and live like the rest of us. I have to pay insurance premiums (which goes up every year) with the threat of losing it altogether, and so should they. My job was not secure, and theirs shouldn't be either. Unions were good a long, long time ago, but no today.

You guys are funny. Everyone thinks that these multi-BILLION dollar companies are the good guys. Dont you know that they sit on your problems so they dont have to pay people to repair them? In addition all the companies care about is the bottom line. So if your service sucks and they make money, they do not care. Finally if your place of employement made a 5.5 BILLION dollar PROFIT and makes you pay for health insurance, underpays you, and works you lke a dog, that is your fault. Think about it, just because these corporations make you work more and compensate you less, doesnt make it right. This mode of thinking is amazing.

let me get this straight , your complaining that u pay high premiums , get less benies and wages? and on top of that u want the people who hold the standard up to go away? i think u are confused. just imagine what would happen to middle america if no benies low wages and no pension was the high end of the standard. lets say union members went away along with being covered 100% medically. u think the the companies that paid 50% medical would continue to do so? foolish .the standard would be lowered FOR ALL. union members want u, the people with less benies , to get more from the companies u give blood sweat and tears to. the standards for blue collored jobs to raise, not have the people who accually fight coorporate america standard's be lowered, u should thank your local union members.

to the person that lost your job to a union member , i am sorry to see anyone get sent home. but if u want to compare numbers on your situation to the numbers of union jobs lost to contracters who are willing to sell out, work for slaray and bonus, or union jobs that are cut with the work sent over seas to save a buck , then your arguement would hold no water.
