Unhelpful service rep

I called to cancel my account because 1) I'm moving and 2) Verizon's service isn't great, and I wouldn't choose them for my new provider.

I asked for a Mon. Nov. 10th shutoff, and the guy placed an order for Mon. Nov. 3rd without confirming. He gets back on the phone and starts reading the confirmation number without saying what it was. He did not ask if I wanted a forwarding number. I only found out the shutoff date was incorrect by calling back. The shutoff dept was closed and now I have to call Mon. at 8am to prevent shutoff at 8:15am. Thanks, Verizon.

If you aren't choosing Vz as your new provider they have no obligation nor does any other company to give a forwarding number.

I guess nothing's free anymore

I emailed a complaint to Verizon and a helpful customer service rep emailed me today to let me know that she changed the shutoff order from 11/3 to 11/10. That was amazing.
