No, you can't speak with a manager because it's Monday

Yes, that's the response I received from the Business office today (Monday Dec 1, 2008).

Called their corporate complaint line: 800-755-1068 option 3 and the rep that answered the phone confirmed that this was a known and acceptable response.

I only wish I was making this up.

that is utter bullshit. call the puc. managers tell the emloyees they dont want calls. they want you to take care of it.

As a 12 year Verizon employee I have witnessed this myself. Many managers no longer have the employees nor contractors to meet customer service commitments. So they are now dodging their responsibilities and set behind a computer micromanaging every aspect of their staff.
