Retiree even frustrated with Verizon

20 years with Verizon(actually most with GTE) and they do suck when it comes to customer service. They can't even set up an automatic payment for me.

Let me see...I want to use my credit card each month which guarantees Verizon payment and it has been over 160 days and counting and still it has not been done. Even though on June 25 2008 I received written confirmation that it would happen in 60 days max.

P.S.GTE was such a superior company and it all went to crap when the merger with Bell Atlantic happened.

Brother , you are so right. I have 12 years with GTE/verizon and the new company is a complete disaster. I see no reason why the company is not bankrupt.
