Liar Liar Pants on Fire! Alltel customer going to AT&T

So this is the exchange from one Verizon Wireless employee telling me I would have to get a Verizon plan after the transition from Alltel to Verizon. I had just gotten off the phone with Alltel and got a completely different story. So which reps are lying? Maybe both. Who knows. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! THEY ARE FULL OF SHIT!

Please wait for a Verizon Wireless sales representative to assist you with your order. Thank you for your patience!
A Verizon Wireless online pre-sales specialist has joined the chat. You are now chatting with Brittany
Brittany: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?
You: Question: I am an Alltel customer, are you going to let me change my plan whenever I want to after the transition?
Brittany: I understand your concerns. You will have to choose a Verizon plan when your contract is up.
You: oh really.
You: I am on a month to month now.
You: so I will have to choose one of your plans when the transition takes place?
Brittany: Yes, that is correct.
You: when is this taking place?
Brittany: Although the legal transaction has been finalized and Verizon Wireless has legally become the owner of Alltel, it will be several months before the two companies are integrated and operate as one company. Also, as part of the regulatory approval process required for this purchase, Verizon Wireless agreed to sell certain properties where both Alltel and Verizon Wireless overlap to preserve competition in those markets. As a result, Alltel customers in those areas will not be part of the merger with Verizon Wireless.
You: So one day they are going to say by the way you are verizon and choose a plan?
You: or not?
You: depending on where I live?
Brittany: You can contact customer care at this time and they would be happy to assist you with this. The number is 1-800-922-0204. If you are calling from a cell phone you may dial *611, send.
You: Yeah this is fishy I keep getting different stories from different reps.
You: typical verizon.
You: I do not trust your company at all.
You: good luck with the transition
Brittany: I understand your concerns.
Brittany: Is there anything else I can assist you with?
You: No thanks. good luck.
Brittany: Thank you for visiting Verizon Wireless, I look forward to speaking with you again. Have a great day!

The merger should be complete by the end of the year, if you have Alltel service and don't want to switch plans, simply upgrade and get on a contract before the merger finalizes
