Customer service? How about Customer Disservice

I had an appointment to get a phone jack installed at my new home, in order to continue using DSL (which I had at my previous home). When the Verizon serviceperson didn't show up in the 8-12 time slot, I called and spent 3 hours talking to 42 different people. The MO seemed to be transferring me to someone else instead of attempting to work out the problem. At the end of the 3 hours I still have no idea why nobody showed up, and I still have no phone jack. I ended up cancelling service, but my only other option (besides dial-up) is Comcast, which I've also had bad service with before (although perhaps not this stunningly bad). In any case I'm paying an electrician to put in the phone jack -- definitely a better option!

Just an update on this situation. A week later I get an email from Verizon with this line in it: "This is a friendly reminder that you have a Verizon technician visit scheduled for
-NA- between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m."

No kidding, they have the date as "NA". And I have no idea why I'm receiving this email now, as I've cancelled anything to do with Verizon.

now call them and make an appointment and dont answer door.lol...screw them like they screwed you.
