my daughter headed to college, and just before leaving went to the local store to reactivate her pay-as-you-go phone which expired while she was away on semester abroad. She told them she wanted the cheapest plan, for someone who makes a call only twice a week. They put her on a $3.99 PER DAY USED plan and she went through $200 that semester.
