I signed up for paperless billing. The email never comes. I call them for help, first thing they ask me for the six digits next to phone number in the bill - "but I don't have the friggin bill anymore!!" Ok, eventually they find a way to accept my call anyway. Before I can finish stating my issue, the agent tells me to check the email address at the web site, which I have already done. I ask for paper bills again. Customer "Service" says they cannot do it, I have to log on and do it myself.
And don't get me started on Verizon's amazing ability to let thieves add charges for imaginary voicemail services to my account, and their subsequent inability to remove the charges. This comapany's customer service is an embarrassment. |

Customer Service is glorified sales. If you call for a problem, and they can tell right off the bat that they're not going to be able to sell you anything, they say, "Can I please put you on hold a moment?" and then without waiting for an answer, they put you on hold and transfer you. That way, you're not their problem any more. Pass the buck is Verizon's official company sport. |
